Fight Over Texting In A Movie Theater Ends In Fatal Shooting
Posted January 14th, 2014 @ 7:53am

A scary and unnecessarily violent scene unfolded in a Florida movie theater on Monday when an argument over text messaging in a movie theater ended in a deathly shooting.

43-year-old Chad Oulson was texting his daughter during the previews of an early afternoon movie screening when 71-year-old Curtis Reeves, a retired police officer, became irritated and asked Oulson to stop.

Reeves left the theater and came back with a manager. Oulson and Reeves began arguing loudly until a gunshot rang out, surprisingly everyone else in the theater.

Reeves shot Oulson who died soon after. Reeves is being charged with second-degree homicide.

And to think, all of this started over texting?! Hardly worth it!
