Katie Parfet has served as public brand ambassador for TOMS shoes for the past five years. As a former Elite and Wilhelmina model, Katie’s keen sense of fashion frequently lands her on streetstyle sites and in fashion magazines - and has established her as a go-to on the festival style scene.
I love to mix new pieces with vintage. I’m inspired by the classic 60’s style ofJane Birkin and Francoise Hardy who stayed away from branded designer pieces and always carried straw totes! I almost only wear cotton dresses in the Summer as they’re so easy just to throw on and go. Plus they never wrinkle in my suitcase. Since comfort is key, I opted for a cute color block TOMS Correa flat sandal for my day one look.
I don’t like to bring super fancy jewelry to a festival, so instead I throw on reasonable yet beautiful pieces like my Fortuned Culture Ethiopian Cross Necklace that goes with every outfit.
I definitely avoid heels at all costs. My TOMS navy Paseos are perfect festival footwear and a nice tomboy contrast to my girly sundress. They’re the only pair of cute shoes I can literally run around in for eight straight hours…which is why I’ll be wearing them day two and three. They come in other classic colors like red and white as well as black & white animal print.
I never leave home without my black Reformation denim jacket. The leather patch details give it a nice worn-in feel. I wear it around my waist during the day and throw over my shoulders when it gets chilly at night. I make sure to pack my pockets with lip balm, sunscreen and other festival essentials.
I’m enjoying embracing this season’s biggest accessory trend: the backpack. It’s such a fashion-forward look and super practical, offering hands free dancing to Arctic Monkeys and Lorde! I particularly love my black vintage leather carryall.
And I can never go wrong with a statement pair of sunglasses. My TOMS Bellinis quickly elevates my laid-back look. I actually just picked them up from the Lolla Shop!
