New Vintage Market Open In Arcadia

The team behind the tremendously popular Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market and Foundress have opened The Vintage Arcadia, a new storefront and neighborhood gathering spot located in the heart of Phoenix’s vibrant Arcadia neighborhood. While The Vintage Arcadia is a distinct concept and not an extension of Junk in the Trunk, it features the same types of carefully curated, one-of-a-kind vintage and antique goods that have drawn thousands of fans to the market. As a mixed-use property designed to celebrate community and history, The Vintage Arcadia also offers a showroom for rotating collections and other events, a private meeting room and a wide selection of food and beverages from the adjacent Chestnut at the Vintage.

Coley Arnold and Lindsey Holt, local entrepreneurs and the visionaries behind Junk in the Trunk as well as Foundress, had been seeking to establish a permanent venue in addition to their periodic markets in Arizona and California. They were excited to find an abandoned 1950s building in Arcadia, which — much like the vintage goods showcased at Junk in the Trunk — offered rich history, a unique flair and the promise of renewal. The mission of The Vintage Arcadia is to create a place for the community to connect, shop, dine and relax. Housed in a visually inspiring space, the main storefront is filled with artisan goods and gifts, home décor, and vintage and antique treasures. The venue also features a 1,000 square-foot showroom with rotating collections from local artisans, experiential dining collaborations, pop-up shops, classes and other events. In addition, there is a cozy 16-person space that may be reserved for private meetings and other gatherings. Equipped with a fireplace and library, the warm and inviting private space is an ideal forum for memorable events.

Visitors to The Vintage Arcadia will be able to enjoy food offerings from Chestnut at the Vintage; the breakfast and lunch restaurant concept formerly known as Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions. Chestnut features a welcoming, fast-casual environment that showcases several local purveyors, including Noble Bread and Provision Coffee. They are offering hand crafted farm-to-table fare that’s sure to please the healthiest and most indulgent of eaters. Chestnut at the Vintage offers numerous menu favorites as well as many enticing new additions. They are also expanding into evening hours to offer a dinner and drink menu at their nighttime concept: The Bar at the Vintage.

The Vintage Arcadia is open Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 7 am to 9 pm, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday: 7 am – 10 pm. It is located at 4418 E. Osborn Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Arnold and Holt founded Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market in 2011 after bonding over their shared affinity for unique vintage items. The first market, which was held in a friend’s backyard, attracted a staggering 600 guests. To accommodate their rapidly growing audience, Arnold and Holt moved the market to Westworld of Scottsdale. Junk in the Trunk has since expanded to California, with events in San Diego, Pomona and the Bay Area. In 2018, Arnold and Holt formed Foundress, a team of powerful women who encourage and inspire each other and the surrounding community through mentorship, round-table discussions and once a month networking. With The Vintage Arcadia, the Junk in the Trunk team is looking forward to creating a permanent destination for vintage lovers in the Phoenix area as well as a place for the community to connect.
