One dad graduated with his MBA was surprised with a front yard celebration that was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Sean Cosgrove, from Lousiana, got his degree from the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati on April 30. Since the commencement was postponed, his wife Kassie Cosgrove invited neighbors to congratulate her husband.
She decorated the war with balloons and even bough celebratory cigars. Sean was completely surprised.
"He's used to me surprising him. I'm a big believer in that fun stuff," Kassie told "Good Morning America," adding that Pomp and Circumstance played on a speaker. "When he saw Nolan, their son, he was real excited about it.”
Nolan signed his name on his dad’s faux degree and presented it to him in their front yard.
"Our street is like a family and we all wanted to do something to support Sean,” neighbor Ethan McDonald said.
