JetBlue is offering free roundtrip flights to frontline health care workers during the coronavirus outbreak. Wednesday, they announced its JetBlue Healthcare Hero, an initiative that will 100,000 medical staff workers roundtrip flight certificates for traveling.
To start the program they will donate pairs of flight certificates for 10,000 health care workers at the Mount Sinai Health system, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island campuses. It will also give certificates to NYC Health + Hospitals.
To obtain one of the free flights health care workers have to be nominated. Nominations are made through May 15.
The company will also salute employees and first responders with a fly over in New York City today at 7 p.m.
