There's a bill being considered by California lawmakers that would fine department stores that separate children's toys, clothes and other items by gender.
The store would have 30 days to correct the violation or be fined $1,000.
The stores wouldn't have to change its products, it just wouldn't be allowed to display the items based on gender.
