California Could Be The First State to Have a 4-Day Work Week

California has proposed a bill that would change a 40 hour work week to 32 hours for companies with more than 500 employees. The workday would still 8 hours and after working the required 32, employees would be paid overtime for extra.

Some employers have already started testing out this new workweek and say it has led to an increase in productivity and profits, where others have said it led to more stressed out employees.

I am all for three day weekends and shorter workweeks!

According to studies, not only does the U.S. rank among the top countries in hours work, but Americans are also less likely to spend time on personal care and leisure.
