A Kentucky man was awarded $450k after his workplace celebrated his birthday, even though he asked them no to.

Kevin Berling, was an employee at Gravity Diagnostics in Covington for 10 months and asked the company to not celebrate his birthday because of his anxiety disorders and panic attacks.

His employer ignored his request and Berling said he had a panic attack and had lunch in his car.

Apparently, he had explained that a party would bring him childhood memories surrounding his parents' divorce and the next day, a supervisor accused him of "stealing his co-workers" joy and "being a little girl," which lead to another panic attack.

On top of all this he was fired just days after the party!

Berling recieved $300,000 for emotional distress and $150,000 in lost wages!
