There’s a New California Law that is mandating free menstrual products in public school bathrooms including in boys' restrooms for grades 3rd through 12th. The existing bill mandates free menstrual products already but for grades 6th through 12th. This is because 10% of girls start their periods by age 10. So this is just expanding the age group and this is a great idea because yes, there are girls who start at a young age.
San Diego’s Parks After Dark returns for the 3rd summer of free family fun. The program will transform five neighborhood parks into evening community festivals every thursday, Friday and saturday night. With all kinds of activities which will include health and fitness, music, movies, arts and grafts, games, youth sports, plus free food for children. This kicks off June 20th through August 17.
Chula Vista Police are looking for three men, wanted for stealing thousands of dollars from a local father who they think was followed home after withdrawing money from a bank. It happened in late May and they shared the robbery video on the police departments instagram hoping they could find the suspects. And its just a sad story because the money was for the man’s daughter’s quinceañeara and it was just days before the party.
