Celebrate Shark Week at SEA LIFE Arizona

Lesser-Known Species Spotlighted at SEA LIFE Arizona’s Upcoming Shark Week Celebration

Guests Who Donate During July 23 Blood Drive to Receive Complimentary Ticket for Following Week

TEMPE, Ariz. – They say some sharks can smell blood from up to three miles away, and anyone who donates his or her own Sunday, July 23 at SEA LIFE Arizona will score a complimentary ticket to come back and check out Shark Week in exchange for their generosity.

The Blood Drive is set for 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 23 at SEA LIFE Arizona, and anyone who takes part in the event offered in conjunction with the American Red Cross will receive a free ticket to take part in the aquarium’s annual week-long Shark Week Celebration, which kicks off that day. This year’s event places a spotlight on some of the smaller and lesser-known shark breeds, and it promises plenty of special activities, and chances to check out captive-bred baby epaulette sharks and even a quarantined epaulette shark egg.

“We celebrate sharks year-round here at SEA LIFE Arizona, but we’re pulling out all the stops for this year’s Shark Week celebration,” said Joanna Hobday, SEA LIFE Arizona’s general manager. “Stop on by and spend the day with these fascinating, awe-inspiring creatures.”
