Lil Xan briefly left rehab over the weekend to buy a new home.

According to TMZ, the 22-year-old rapper left the facility where he is seeking treatment for his opioids addiction on Saturday (December 8), in order to sign off on the papers for his newly bought Redlands, California home. Xan's new house will reportedly be where he will complete his in-patient treatment following his rehab stay. It will have "round-the-clock staff monitoring him" to make sure he remains clean.

Xan didn't make the two-day trip alone. He was reportedly accompanied by a nurse from the rehab facility and the two headed back to the treatment center on Sunday (December 9).

Earlier this month, the "Betrayed" rapper's girlfriend, Annie, announced that he was in rehab. "Diego was just admitted into his first treatment," she wrote on Instagram Sunday (December 2). "He loves each and every one of you sending good wishes and prayers to him. We thank you all so very much for all of the love and support you are sending his way. He will be back soon with another top 10 album."

Xan let his fans know that he planned to step away for a bit to deal with his struggles with addiction last month. "I just dropped out of SoundCloud Uni to go to rehab,🎉 I leave in like 5 days And I couldn’t be happier with this choice 💔," he captioned a photo of him smoking on November 15. "I love you guys for being so supportive and can’t wait too get back clean headed ready to Finish my album !"

Following Xan's rehab announcement on social media, he spoke to TMZ about what drove him to seek treatment, explaining that his decision was in big part due to the deaths of Lil Peep and Mac Miller (both rappers who passed due to accidental overdoses). "It seems like all of it is Fentanyl, Fentanyl, Fentanyl," he said. "I feel like it's time to get better." The "Live or Die" rapper added that he's struggling with "opioids" and wants "to do rehab so [he] can finally be back to Diego (his real name)." Xan also told the gossip site that his "goal" is to come out of rehab with "DIEGO," all caps, being his stage name as he no longer wants to "celebrate" or "talk good" about doing drugs.
