Heading to Coachella? Here Are The Best Parking Tips You'll Need

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2011 - Day 3

Coachella is here which means thousands of fans from Southern California, Arizona and all across the country are hitting the road to make their way to Indio, California. So yes, traffic will be an issue getting in and out of the area for two weekends.

Nervous about parking?

No worries here's what you need to know...

  • Coachella organizers stress that festival-goers should arrive early to avoid traffic delays. There will be a variety of street closures and attendant congestion.
  • Parking at the festival grounds will be free from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Sunday, organizers said. The free lots are accessible from Monroe Street, as well as handicap and preferred parking lot.
  • Organizers warn any car that is left after 2 a.m. will be towed, and that everyone in the vehicle must wear a wristband to access the parking areas.

Using all these tips will ensure you get into the festival as quickly as possible.

And, for savvy festival goers who don't want to worry about parking, there's always the Any Line Shuttle pass that takes you from a wide variety of desert hotels to the grounds for only $80 for the entire weekend.
