Lights Of The World Is In Town Until January!

Lights of The World, the largest lights and lantern festival in North America, will be here until January 12, 2020 at the Arizona State Fair. It's back for a third year, with completely new, and better light displays. Combining the age-old tradition of paper lanterns with cutting-edge technology, the Lights of the World lantern displays extend from 18 to 60 feet, amounting to over 10 million colorful lights, and showcase features of different cultures and civilizations around the globe.

With over 65 stunning displays, Lights of the World promises an unforgettable exploration of global cultures and cuisine. It also possesses a litany of other entertainment features: as visitors walk through, they’ll encounter a world of surprises, including friendly, life-like dinosaurs, and daily free performances from Magician Matt Lemm (see times and dates on homepage). Artisans will also be on site, creating unique, handmade art to commemorate the celebration.

During the 21st century, the Lantern Festival has spread rapidly from its place of origin, traveling around the globe. Lantern Festivals have been brought to more than 21 cities overseas, where over 15,530,000 visitors have celebrated and admired its splendor. With the newest LCD/LED technology and metal fabrication, the lanterns today are designed over 10 times the original size and in greater detail. Rather than paper lanterns, Lantern Festivals combine architecture, sculpture, electricity, and arts design to create truly awe-inspiring sights.
