People are paying it forward all over the world during this coronavirus pandemic including a New York City chef Tracy Wilk by “baking it forward.”
“I needed to do something to help my community,” Wilk told “Good Morning America. “I can’t be a medic, I don’t have medical training, but I just wanted to bake.”
Wilks stated that she realized how hard it must be for these health care workers to be working so much overtime and wanted to help their day out.
As soon as she dropped off her first batch she was inspired to have others help her and deliver to other health care workers in the area. She then came up with the hashtag #BakeItForward to get other people involved.
