'Cruise the Zoo' lets you visit Phoenix Zoo from the comfort of your car

Experience The Phoenix Zoo... from your car!

"Cruise the Zoo" is a new program that allows folks to visit the zoo and see the animals, all from the cool comfort of their own cars. That's right... enjoythe giraffes, elephants & all their exotic animals while still practicing safe social distancing from others.

Dates:

  • Friday, May 8 through Sunday, May 10
  • Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17

Hours:

  • 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (last vehicle must be in line at 1 p.m.)

Cost:

  • Phoenix Zoo members - $50 per vehicle
  • General public - $65 per vehicle

Tickets for this experience will need to be pre-purchased online at phoenixzoo.org. There will be approximately 600 tickets sold per day, for each of the three days. The Zoo may extend the program in the future if the demand is there. Vehicle size must be no larger than a full-size long bed truck.

Load up the car with your herd and get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cruise the Zoo!

While we are closed, families have the chance to see the Zoo from the comfort, safety and security of their own vehicle. This event will include a guided, educational audio tour. Food and beverage options are available for purchase.

Cruise the Zoo allows guests to view a variety of Zoo animals such as flamingos, giraffes, elephants and more while maintaining safe social distancing measures.

First, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for being here. Your support enables us to keep doing our important conservation work around the globe, encouraging kids of all ages to love nature, and keep up the highest standard of care for our animal ambassadors.   • Remain in your vehicle during the entire tour.
  • For guest safety, all tailgates, van/car doors and hatchbacks must remain closed at all times.
  • Follow the guided route. The speed limit is a tortoise-like 4 mph.
  • Loud noises are not permitted, including honking, music and yelling.
  • Do not feed the animals as they receive a healthy diet from their zookeepers.
  • The Zoo is a smoke-free facility, including electronic cigarettes.
  • Keep everything in your car and when you leave Zoo grounds, properly dispose of your waste in a trash can or recycle container.
