90 Dogs Found Inside Casa Grande Home

Casa Grande police officers found at least 90 dogs inside a house on Saturday.

Officers were called out to a home on West Viola Street when they noticed six dead dogs wrapped in shirts and towels on the hood of the car. Officers also found a dead dog in a dumpster behind the house and a dog's skeleton nearby.

The woman at the house told officers that there where another 20 dogs inside of her 700 square foot home. Instead, they found another 90 dogs. Animal control officers took away all of the dogs after the woman relinquished them.

The dogs were seen by veterinarians, and only 28 of the dogs were in "decent health," according to police. All of the dogs were covered in their own waste while the sick dogs were suffering from dehydration, sores, and bite wounds, among other issues. Police didn't say where the dogs came from or what will happen to them.

Pinal County authorities are looking into animal cruelty charges, but neither the woman or the man who was also at the home were arrested or charged.
