Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Deny Reports Of A Netflix Reality Show

In early September, news broke that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a multi-year deal with Netflix. The Duke and Duchess signed on to produce TV series, films and children’s shows for the streaming giant. The deal is reportedly worth $100 million, as well.

Not long after news of their massive Netflix deal broke, rumors began swirling about what kind of content Prince Harry and Meghan would be making under their new production banner. The Sun even went so far to report that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex planned to participate in a “tasteful” fly-on-the-wall reality show spotlighting their philanthropy work outside the royal family.

While it would definitely be fun to get a peak behind the curtain of Harry and Meghan's new life in the United States, it didn't take long for a representative for the Sussexes to deny reports they'd be participating in a reality show. “The Duke and Duchess are not taking part in any reality shows," the short, direct statement given to Deadline reads.

Even though there won't be a Keeping Up With Harry and Meghan series, the pair definitely aren't camera shy, either, so fans will likely continue to see the royals in some capacity. Meghan recently recorded a cameo for a finalist on America's Got Talent, while both of them apperaed in Time100's TV special urging viewers to get out the vote.

As far as their Netflix productions go, Harry and Meghan said: “our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit, of courage, resilience and the need for connection,” the Sussexes said in a statement about the massive deal. “Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens.”
