According to Snap Inc. just announced a new 3D selfie feature coming to Snapchat exclusive to owners of the iPhone X and above. The feature adds depth to photos by capturing spatial detail that changes an images perspective. They’re also adding new 3D Effects in the Filter Carousel that’ll introduce new filters and lenses.
To access the new feature, users must update their Snapchat app, open the app’s camera, use the dropdown menu on the right, select “3D”, and then take a selfie before swiping through the 3D Lenses and Filters to add other layers. Non iPhone users will be able to see the resulting image, but not produce any of their own.
