This abusive mother is facing serious charges after her 4-year-old daughter ended up in the hospital in critical condition.
According to police, 20-year-old Iris Hernandez Rivas told investigators she had kicked the child in the abdomen. Why?
The mom reportedly said that she became very angry once she realized that the young girl had not actually brushed her teeth that morning.
As of now, Rivas is being held in jail on one count of first-degree child abuse and one count of first-degree assault.
Her daughter remains in the hospital.
