A Salmonella Outbreak On Ground Beef Has Left 1 Dead & 8 Hospitalized

If you buy and eat ground beef... be aware of a new outbreak. The CDC has announced that there is a current investigation surrounding a Salmonella outbreak linked to ground beef.

So far eight people have been hospitalized and one reported death in the state of California. However, CDC is not advising everyone to stop eating cooked ground beef all together.

According to Delish,

Cases have been reported in California, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. There has not yet been a common supplier of the infected ground beef identified because individuals that became sick had eaten ground beef from different brands and locations.

All in all, remember to wash your hands with soap and water after touching raw meat and to wash items that came into contact with raw ground beef.
