The reboot for 'Saved by the Bell,' has been anticipated by many, but after this weekend the show was under a lot of heat for comments made about Selena Gomez's kidney transplant.
Executive producers did release a statement according to Today, "We apologize. It was never our intention to make light of Selena's health. We have been in touch with her team and will be making a donation to her charity, The Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research at USC."
The scenes that mention Gomez's transplant are in the 6th episode and started the hashtag Respect Selena as fans showed their disgust.
