Woman Pushing for Moms to be Paid Monthly Stipend of $2400

The question of "should moms be paid to be moms?" is being asked, and some people are saying yes!

The founder of Girls Who Code, Reshma Saujani is proposing moms receive a monthly stipend of $2400 a month for their "invisible" labor.

She is calling on President-elect Joe Biden to create a “task force dedicated to implementing a Marshall Plan for Moms” during his first 100 days.

Included in this proposal is the $2400 monthly stipend, long overdue "parental leave, affordable childcare and pay equity.
