Vanessa Bryant is still dealing with her mother Sofia Laine's drama. He mother has already filed a lawsuit against her daughter Vanessa claiming Kobe promised to take care of her financially for the rest of her life.
Vanessa is now asking a judge cancel the lawsuit providing documents from a legal fight between her mother and ex-husband.
Laine's ex-husband claimed he shouldn't have to pay her spousal support because she was supported by Kobe and Vanessa. In these documents from 2004 and 2008, Laine said that her daughter and son-in-law had no obligation to support her, and whatever they gave her was out of the goodness of their hearts.
Sofia's ex husband also claimed Vanessa bought her a $1 million home and wasn't in need of the support. Once again Sofia shot back that the stories were "absolutely false" and "I would never permit Vanessa to do such a thing. I have not and do not (nor should I be required to) rely on Vanessa for my support."
Sounds like her mom is contradicting herself with these past and current statements.
Vanessa's legal team is also arguing that even if Kobe did make an oral promise to "take care of her financially," it's too vague to be enforced.
