A Governor Signs Bill Requiring All Cellphones Sold in State Block Porn

Is blocking porn sites from a person's cellphone and tablet a violation of their rights?

Utah governor Spencer Cox signed a bill which would require porn filters on all cell phones and tablets sold in the state.

Of course there are people opposed to this arguing it is stripping people of their First Amendment right to free speech, where supports are in favor calling the restrictions a necessary step in helping parents prevent their children from accessing explicit online content.

If manufactures failed to have filters on the phones would be fined with a $10 to $500 fine.

However, this most likely won't go into effect since five other states would need to pass similar laws in order for the bill to pass in Utah.

What are your thoughts on this?
