It's been almost two decades since Kobe Bryant and Nike signed a deal, but it is finally coming to an end.
Vanessa Bryant who is in charge of Bryant's estate has decided not to renew the "post-retirement endorsement extension," that was signed by Mamba himself in 2016.
So why after so long have the two decided to part ways? Vanessa told ESPN "Kobe and Nike have made some of the most beautiful basketball shoes of all time, worn and adored by fans and athletes in all sports across the globe. It seems fitting that more NBA players wear my husband's product than any other signature shoe."
Apparently Vanessa was not happy with the availability of the shoe and wanted it to be easier for his fans to get the shoe along with kid sizes, according to ESPN.
She felt it was hurting the ability of the common fan getting their hands on the sneaker.
