Bernie Mac's estate has partnered up with John Legend's production company, Get Lifted to produce a biopic about Mac.
Mike Jackson, who is Legend's producing partner revealed at a panel discussion saying, "We just partnered with Bernie Mac's estate to cover Bernie Mac's Story."
Legend seemed surprised by the news, which Jackson noticed, "something that John doesn't know about yet," and that he was "very excited about."
Adding that the deal had just happened that day.
The project will be a feature film biopic and no further details were given, but considering John Legend just heard about it, there's probably still a lot of planning that needs to be done.
