The incident was caught by a surveillance video capturing 10-year-old Lily Kwan walking her small dog when a coyote attacks.
Lily can be seen running and dropping the leash as the coyote lunges at little Macy.
But despite being attacked and suffering injuries, Macy continues to confront the coyote to defend Lily.
Macy was taken to the vet and underwent surgery to treat 8 puncture wounds.
