With space travel happening amongst billionaire's, not Hollywood wants in on the out of this world experience.

Apparently there are two competitors, including the Discovery Channel who are working on reality tv shows that would send regular people to space.

The shows being considered are "Who Wants to Be an Astronaut," and "Space Hero."

Although both shows plan to be in space, "Who Wants to Be an Astronaut," plans on taking contestants to space for eight days, where they will participate in a "variety of extreme challenges" to determine which competitors have what it takes to be a real astronaut.

Unlike "Who Wants to Be an Astronaut," that is solely U.S. based, "Space Hero," plans to bring a global component to the space sector by bringing contestants from all over the world. The plans are to start with 24 contestants that will consist of 12 men and 12 women, along with 12 from underdeveloped countries and 12 from developed countries. Once selected "they will be put into a Space Village, kind of like the Big Brother house, but with wearable technology and biometrics testing."
