Jennifer Lopez has a new Netflix documentary dropping June 14th based on her halftime show in 2020 and she was not happy about having to share the 12 min stage time with Shakira.
Calling it "the worst idea in the world" to have two headliners. In the Netflix seen Lopez says "We have six fucking minutes. We have to have our singing moments. It's not going to be a dance fucking revue. We have to sing our message."
Shakira and Jlo split the 12 minute time equally to have 6 min each and it all worked out, but Jlo's longtime manager Benny Medina also shared his disappointment in the two headliner show.
"Typically, you have one headliner at a Super Bowl. That headliner constructs a show, and, should they choose to have other guests, that's their choice. It was an insult to say you needed two Latinas to do the job that one artist historically has done."
