There are so many reasons that we hear why we shouldn't allow our kids to play video games and this one is scary.
Now researchers are claiming the adrenaline rush they give can trigger deadly heart rhythms in susceptible children.
A report was published in Heart Rhythm and head researcher Claire M. Lawley, MBBS, PhD said, "video games may represent a serious risk to some children with arrhythmic conditions; they might be lethal in patients with predisposing, but often previously unrecognized arrhythmic conditions."
Researchers also found that many of the children who suffered heart issues were playing "multi-player war games" on both console and computer.
If you children are experience blackouts while gaming should be taken to a heart specialist as losing consciousness could be a sign of an undiagnosed heart problem.
