SanDag and the City of San Diego launched a free electric shuttle service yesterday in an effort to reduce parking congestion and support climate goals. The shuttle is a cute little Beach Bug that will be free for the next three months and then $2.50 a day after that.
Summer hours for the new Pacific Beach service are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays; 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
. But I think this is a great idea if you want to head to the beach but not deal with traffic and parking.
