This past Saturday volunteers got together through the Christmas in July Program which seek to help homeowners who may be considered low-income, elderly or unable to tackle home projects and do it for them. So the volunteers got together and helped paint the house, sweep the porch and hauled away large items. A 25-year-old man from Murrieta has been arrested in San Diego on 18 felonies for a luxury car theft scheme, so basically he would fill out rental paperwork for luxury cars, pay for a week and then wouldn’t return them to the owners. When the owners would try to report it they would find out the cars were no longer in their names.
A lot of these cars were found at various car dealerships through out riverside and the cars were a 2022 corvette, a 2015 Lamborghini Urus, and more all totaling at 1 million. And he is pleading not guilty.
Tomorrow is Halloween and the 16th annual Trick or Treat on India Streeet is ready for you. Its a family friendly event allowing kids to trick or treat at local businesses in Little Italy. And India street will be closed for a pedestrian promenade ensuring a safe fun halloween experience.
