There have been all kinds of crazy hiking stories and most recently there was a man who got lost in California Mountains for more than a week! He thought he was just going to be on a hike for just a few hours but ended up lost. He had only brought a flash light and folding scissors with him and on top of that didn’t tell anyone his plans and wasn’t reportied missing until he didn’t show up to a Father’s Day dinner.
To survive the 10 days he drake a gallon of water from the creek a day and survived off of eating wild berries. Luckily, he was found with the help of several drones. But again just make sure you are taking water, snacks, essentials and telling people where you are if you are hiking.
If you live in Lemon Grove the Lemon Grove Library is accepting entries until August 31st for the Lemon Grove Art & Photo Contest. It’s a free contest and the theme is 'What does Lemon Grove mean to you?'
Entered works of art and photography will be displayed inside of the library and winners will receive a valuable gift card.
Two popular restaurants with the same owner are coming to pacific beach. Irv’s Burgers and Prince St. Pizza will be located next to each other on 4505 E Mission BLVD. and will be opening July 4th, with a grand opening block party from noon to 4pm. Those in attendance can eat free Irv’s Burgers, fries, milkshake combos and Prince St Pizza will be offering free slices and Salt & Straw ice cream.
